Mama Fact of the Day

Colostrum - the "first milk" that the breasts produce as a precursor to breast milk. Breasts grow and develop throughout pregnancy and at around 16 weeks they start producing this rich, high-protein pre-milk, ready for when baby is born.

Unfortunately for me and my bras, the colostrum decided to start leaking as soon as my boobs started producing it!

But it doesn't happen to everyone. Some may not get their milk in until a day or two after the birth.

Fetal Fact of the Day

At 22 weeks the baby measures between 20-27cm and weighs around just 1lb!

This is little one at 14 weeks and 4 days. I think it's the cutest photo ever. Naturally.

Let us begin...

Although I'm already over half way through this pregnancy now, I wanted to start blogging about my journey.

I already have a twitter account but this will enable me to write longer posts.

I don't want to look back and wish I had documented more. I don't want to forget the little things that make each day count...
